Merlen Jean (Cline) Walls, 81 of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life, to be with her Lord and Savior and her many loved ones on Friday, June 28, 2024, from McDowell Healthcare Center, Gary, WV.
Born November 21, 1942, in Mingo County, she was the daughter of the late Burb and Mandy (Mounts) Cline.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Delmas Walls; sisters: Mae Sibo, Rosetta Smith, Donna Justice; brother: Junior Cline.
Merlen was a member of the Wharncliffe Church of God, she loved singing, working in the church, cooking, sewing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughters: Rhodella (Tim) Toler, Cheri (Allen) Justice, all of Justice, WV, Sandra Stacy of Gilbert, WV; her son: Russell (Shawna) Walls of Sprattsville, WV; grandchildren: Brent (Heather) Justice, Barrett (Gina) Justice, Steven (Angela) Justice, Brandon Patrick, Corey (Tessa) Patrick, Joseph (Tammara) Justice, Hope (Jacob) Trent, Hayden Walls, Isac Walls, Ryan and B.J. Toler, Justin (Alicia) Toler; a host of greatgrandchildren; sister: Darlene (Bobby) Perry of Isaban, WV; brothers: Johnny (Amy) Cline of Hampden, WV, Demp (Edna) Cline of Danville, WV, Clark (Teresa) Cline of Ikes Fork, WV; sister-in-law: Merle Tramell of Delbarton, WV, and her family. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home from 1:00 till 3:00 pm where funeral services will commence at 3:00 pm with Rev. Rick Endicott and Rev. Donald Robinette officiating. Burial will follow at Justice Memorial Gardens, Justice, WV.
Merlen will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Joseph and Barrett Justice, Hayden and Isac Walls, Brandon and Corey Patrick. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Toler, Brent, Allen, and Steven Justice.
Merlen always prayed these words in her daily prayers:
Lord, you have done so much for me, but I have done so little for you.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
The family gives their thanks and appreciation to the McDowell Healthcare Center at Gary, WV for the love and care given to their mother during this time.
