Mildred Sue (Keene) Lester

Mildred Sue (Keene) Lester, 78 of Chapmanville, formerly of Man, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, September 10, 2021 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on February 19, 1943 at Isaban, she was the daughter of the late Sampy and Pearl (Goodman) Keene.

In addition to her parents, Mildred is also preceded in death by her brothers: Gary, Johnny, Ricky, and Greg; her sisters: Jessie, Pauline, Rene, Georgie, Jackie and Carol.

Mildred enjoyed watching television, and talking with her friends, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 57 years: Blaine Lester of Chapmanville; her daughters: Donna (Paul) Stollings of Chapmanville, Vickie (Darrell) Blankenship of Bruno, Angela Lester of Accoville; sons: Greg Lester of Chapmanville, Brandon (Barbie) Lester of Ethel; grandchildren: Josh Harper, Amber (Rick) Blevins, Jeramie (Alecia) Workman, Gage Eplin, Kitana Stollings, and Ethan Stollings; great grandchildren: Alexis, Brooklyn, Taylor, and Harlee Lester, Olivia Blevins, Isaha and Eligha Workman, Will and Makeyla Dowdy; brothers: Sampy (Cathy) Keene, Jr. of Buffalo Creek, Timothy, Michael, and Jeffery Keene, all of NC; sisters: Alma Patrick of Henlawson, Rita Rowe of Buffalo Creek, Cassie Copley of Elk Creek, and Minnie Newcomb of Steels Hollow, Hanover.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Browning officiating.  Burial will follow in the Skyline Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Mildred will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
