Mildred “Millie” (Toler) Perry, 75 of Simon, WV departed this life Monday, May 26, 2025, from Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. Born February 7, 1950, at Ned’s Branch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Morris Henry and Ocie Mae (Mills) Toler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Franklin James Perry; brothers: Garland Toler, Raymond “Pete” Toler, Randall Toler and Donald Toler; sisters: Corine Perdue, Juanita Sowards, Emmajean Walker, and Oma Vance; and granddaughter: Kya Thomas.
Millie was of the Christian faith and attended the Justice Tabernacle church when she was able. Millie loved NASCAR! She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and lived in Louisiana for 18 years after high school. Millie was a loving wife to her husband, Franklin, and a wonderful caregiver to him in his final years.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her step-daughters: Lisa Perry (Robert Clark) of Sioux Falls, SD and Lecinda “Cindy” (Jeremy) Thomas of Bowling Green, KY; sisters-in-law: Sue Toler of Middleville, MI, Tina Toler of Williamson, Romaine Lester and Loretta Walls both of Justice, and Wanda Cline of Baisden; one granddaughter: Amy Francis of Terre Haute, IN; and five grandsons: Chris Clark of Glasgow, KY, Richard A. Schmitt Jr. of Jonesboro, AR, Matthew Clark of Evansville, IN, Kainin Thomas of Bowling Green, KY, and Dalton Thomas of Okinawa, Japan. Millie also leaves behind five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025, from 1 – 2 PM in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, where services will commence at 2 PM with Pastor Denny May officiating. Burial will follow in the Nathan Justice cemetery at Justice, WV.
Millie will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
