Minnie Sue (Martin) Hatfield, 80, of Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV., departed this life Thursday, May 26, 2022 from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1941 in Mingo County, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Mullins) and John Martin.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: George Arlin Hatfield; her daughter: Melissa Hatfield; son: Justin Hatfield; grandchildren: Summer Desiree, Michael Tyler, and Roger Todd Hatfield; great-granddaughter: Alicia Hope Queen; sisters: Bertha Belcher, Nell Lafon, Naomi Roach, and Charlene Walls; brothers: John and Clem Martin, and Davey Cline.
Minnie enjoyed reading and traveling, also taking care of her house plants and her fish. She collected things associated with Indians, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her daughters: Elizabeth Hatfield of Browning Fork, and Ramona (Hatfield) Browning of Bruno; her sons: Roger Hatfield of Bowling Green, Florida., George (Diane) Hatfield, Jr. and Michael (Patty) Hatfield, all of Browning Fork, Brock Hatfield of Gilbert; grandchildren: Amanda Hatfield, Dwain, Trista, and Candice Muncy, Kayla Cline, Heather Morgan, Kaleb and Dustin Hatfield; great-grandchildren: Brayden Hatfield, Gracie Adkins, Ava Grace Muncy, LJ Queen, Aubreigh Sheridan, Madison and Kaytin Kennedy, Jerzey Palmer, Will and Blake Lyons, Jacob Hatfield, and 2 more expected soon; sister: Robin Cline of Briar Creek; brothers: Jimmy Martin of Hanover and Loren Martin of Briar Creek. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 1:00 till 3:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 3:00 pm with Rev. Homer Blankenship, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery at Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV.
Minnie will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
