Nick "Scotty" Lovich, Jr.

Nick “Scotty” Lovich, Jr., 64 of Wharncliffe, departed this life Friday, November 20, 2020 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 31, 1956 at Welch, he was the son of the late Nick and Nola (Cline) Lovich, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister: Norma Jean Addair; brother-in-law: Jimmy Lee Cohenour; father-in-law: Dale Cohenour.

Scotty was an avid sports fan, especially football, with his favorite team being The Pittsburgh Steelers.  He enjoyed watching western movies, and golfing with his friends.  Scotty graduated Baileysville High School, class of 1975, he was also a coal miner.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years: Teresa (Cohenour) Lovich of Wharncliffe; son: Nick (Frances) Lovich, III, of Gilbert; daughter: Courtney (Jason) Compton of Wharncliffe; 9 grandchildren; sisters: Rose Stafford and Alice Trusty; nephews: Scott Morgan, Ryan Morgan, Lenny Addair and Chris Stafford; niece: Angie Mills and Whitney Cottrell; brother: brother and sister-in-law: Bill (Sherry) Cottrell; mother-in-law: Norma Cohenour.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, November 23, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jackie Jesse officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Logan, WV.

Scotty will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
