Pauline C. Hatfield, 95, passed on Sunday, October 12, 2025
Born on December 23, 1929 to the late William David and Martery (Whittaker) Noe.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Tennis Hatfield, and siblings Charles Noe, Frank Noe, Carol Roberts, and Anna Lee Ellis.
Pauline was a much-loved teacher for many years for Mingo County Schools. Her greatest passion besides her family was her many students she taught over the years. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Gilbert where she lovingly served as treasurer for several years. Her faith in Christ was an integral part of who she was. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and gardening.
Pauline is survived by her children David Hatfield of Kingman, Arizona; Susie Lohan of Charleston, West Virginia; Gary Hatfield of Cleveland, Ohio; and Diana Lyall of Morgantown, West Virginia; and one brother: Harold Noe of Gilbert, West Virginia. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Friends may gather with the family on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel for visitation with funeral services to commence at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Lester officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV, where she will be lovingly laid to rest next to her husband of 60 years, Tennis Hatfield.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
