Pauline (Layne) Cline, 85 of Baisden, departed this life on Friday, January 7, 2022 from Logan regional Medical Center.
Born on June 23, 1936 in Hurley, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ida (Matney) Layne.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Rex Cline; her daughters: Sheena Bragg and Debra Trent; step-granddaughter: Kayla Bragg; sisters: Ethel and Amanda Cline, Molly Bailey, Ann Moore; brothers: Sanford and Izear, and Johnny Layne.
Pauline enjoyed working with flowers and watching television; but her greatest love was family get togethers and cook outs, spending time with her family and friends meant so much to her. Pauline was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her daughters: Lana (James) Salmons of Baisden, Drema (Denny) Roberson of Scott Depot; son: Bradley (Johnna) Cline of Baisden; grandchildren: Cherie (Michael) Plumley, Tiffany (Edward) New, Jamie (Adrian) Salmons, Glenn (Kimberly) Trent III, Sommer Trent (Erick Potter), Dustin (Carissa) Trent, Wesley and Dylan Roberson, Haylea (William) Thomas, Trevor (Steve Dawn) Cline, Kansas (Matt) Strickland, Tennille Cline, John and Paula Newcomb; great-grandchildren: Whytni and Alex Salmons, Hannah New, Jeilyn West, Max Potter, James, Keira, Easton, and Lemi Grace Cline, Joshua, Joseph, Abigail, and Lacey New, Skyler, Raven, and Kamdyn Strickland, Elaina Trent, Elle Thomas; sisters: Helen Jean Layne of Baisden, Toby Matthews of Florida. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Evangelist Barbara Salyers and Pastor Dale Bailey, her granddaughter, Cherie Plumley officiating. Burial will follow in the Rex Cline Cemetery at Baisden, WV.
Pauline will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
