Phyllis Jean (Allen) Lester

Phyllis Jean (Allen) Lester, 79 of Baisden, departed this life on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from her residence.

Born on September 27, 1942 in Ashland, KY., she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ester (Glanden) Allen.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter: Angela Maynard, and infant daughter Rebecca Lynn Lester.

Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a member of the Church of Christ Church.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 62 years: Estel Lester; her son: Curtis Lester; daughter: Becky (Stanley) Maynard, all of Baisden; granddaughters: Savannah (Anthony) Vannatter of Baisden, Angel and Adrianna Maynard, both of Delbarton; grandson: Emza (Whitney) Maynard of Wharncliffe; great grandchildren: Weston and Keonna Vannatter, both of Baisden, and Hunter Maynard of Wharncliffe; sister: Donna Casasanta of Florida.  She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lester-Maynard Family Cemetery.

Phyllis will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
