Ranny Ray Grimmett, 66 of Mallory, departed this life Saturday, August 20, 2022 from his residence.
Born August 3, 1956 at Man, WV he was the son of the late Tennis and Donna Jean (Tolley) Grimmett.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter: Kristi Rae Grimmett; maternal grandparents: Harry and Edith Tolley; paternal grandparents: Rosa and Mila Grimmett; his aunt: Ruby Grimmett Nicely (the one who raised him); sisters: Annette Thomas and Darlene Sue (Infant); brother: Terry Michael (Infant); brother-in-law: George Terry Willard.
Ranny loved to fish and hunt, but he especially loved his chickens. He enjoyed watching programs on the T.V. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the U.M.W.A.
Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his loving wife: Alicia (Hillary) Grimmett of the home; daughter: Hope (Raymond) Holt; son: Gordon (Savannah) Cline; grandchildren: McKinlee, Gavyn, and Taylin Cline, Austin Lee Moore, Raymond Holt, Jr., and Caleb Ranny Ray Holt; great grandchildren: Chaelstin Ryder, Natalia Renea, and Dlorah Raeann; sisters: Joann (Wyatt) Buchanon, Beatrice Willard, and Pamela (Timothy) Clay; brothers: Troy (Sherry) Grimmett, Danny (Lois) Grimmett, and Terry (Sonya) Grimmett. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church at Bruno, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning and Grimmett Cemetery at Bruno, WV.
Ranny will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
