Rev. John G. (Jr.) Adams

Rev. John G. Adams, Jr., 79 of Gilbert, WV departed this life on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from Trinity Healthcare of Logan, WV.

Born on February 10, 1943 in Mingo County, he was the son of the late Garnet (Preston) and John Adams, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his son: Matthew Adams.

Johnny had worked many years as a mechanic, he enjoyed working and tinkering on trucks and equipment. He was a former Mayor of Gilbert, WV.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years: Norma Jean (Miller) Adams; daughters: Linda (Denny) Lester, Katie, and Cody Adams, all of Gilbert; his grandson: Jonathan (Kayla) Lester of Innwood, WV; sister: Margaret Lucas of Gilbert; special caregivers: Rebecca Dillon and Josephine Browning, and the staff at Trinity Healthcare.  He also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Cresong officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Gilbert, WV.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
