Rev. Lloyd Mullins

Rev. Lloyd Mullins, 73 of Tamcliff, WV, departed this life peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

He was born October 31, 1950, in Marrowbone, KY to Joseph Alex and Maudie (Stanley) Mullins.

He was a hard worker and would help anyone in need. He loved to ginseng, go hunting and work in his garden. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. His passion was serving the Lord, and he attended the Tamcliff Tabernacle. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Joseph Alfred Mullins, sisters: Beverly Carter, Eda Faye Large, Ruth Ann Taylor, brothers: Gary Mullins, James Mullins, Curtis Fleming, Carter Fleming.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years Sharon Kay (Grimmett) Mullins, his children Karen (Charles) Fowler, Annette “Annie” Mullins, and Lloyd “Bub” (Ashley) Mullins all of Tamcliff. grandchildren James Harley (Courtney) Layne of Charleston, WV, Madeline Paige (Madison) Mullins of Varney, WV, Irelyn Faith Mullins, Ian Joseph Mullins, and Iker Jaxson Mullins all of Tamcliff, WV, great grandchildren Conner Monroe Layne and Trinity Cheyenne Layne both of Man, WV. Siblings Betty Jo (Wade) Rose of Clintwood, Va, Kennith (Cleeta) Mullins of Charleston, WV, Harold Mullins of Pineville, WV, Magalene Matthews of Matoaka, WV, and Jewell Fleming of Clintwood, Va. Sister in laws Jan Hendricks of Slabtown, WV and Sheena (Richard) Sydnor of Beckley, WV. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 6:00 till 9:00 PM in the Chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, WV.  Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday May 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel with Rev. Gerald Marsingill officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pecks Mill WV.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Lloyd Mullins II, Charles Fowler, James Ikey May, Isaiah Carter, Reece Carter, Chad Mullins, and David Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rev. Gerald Marsingill, Rev. Joe Lester, Rev. Gary Browning, Rev. Garfield Hatfield, Buren Maynard, Enos Blankenship and Darrell Kovach.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
