Richard Leno Compton, 66 of Isaban, WV departed this life Sunday, April 26, 2026, from his residence.
Born December 5, 1959, at Iaeger, WV he was the son of the late Elmer and Gail (Daniels) Compton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Daniel and Brian Compton; sister: Lisa Compton; nieces: Sarah Smith, Kim Smith, and Tonya Compton.
Richard enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a retired Logger, and of the Church of God Faith.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 47 years: Tammy Lynn (Cline) Compton of the home; sons: Darin (Lisa) Compton of Isaban, WV and Brad (Ashley) Compton of Baisden, WV; granddaughters: Haley (Richard) Mullins of Ragland, WV, Summer (Aaron) Robinette of Shady Woods, WV, Lexi Compton of Baisden, WV; grandson: Noah Compton of Baisden, WV; 2 great grandsons on the way: Kace Allen Mullins and Luke Ryker Robinette; sisters: Barbara Lester of Isaban, WV, Ella (Lonnie) Blevins of Welch, WV, Mary Asbury of Hurley, VA, and Amanda (Mac) Thomas of NC; brothers: James (Helen) Compton, Joe (Linda) Compton, Danny (Sherry) Compton, all of Isaban, WV, and Randy (Lesa) Compton of Baisden, WV. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
In honoring his request, he has been cremated.
His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
