Ricky Dale Toler

Ricky Dale Toler, 60 of Gilbert, WV departed this life Friday, October 4, 2024, from St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  Born April 17, 1964, at Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Norwood and Letha (Toler) Harrison.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandchild: Baby Walls; his maternal grandparents: Amos and Laura Toler; paternal grandparents: Joe and Merlie Harrison.

Ricky was an avid Gilbert Lions Football fan, he enjoyed going to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends, also his dog Bray and his 4 cats.  He was a member of the Justice Tabernacle Church.

Rick had been an ambulance driver for Stafford EMS, a firefighter with the Gilbert Volunteer Fire Dept, maintenance man at several businesses in the Gilbert area, and he had worked for Gilbert Automotive & Performance.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years: Janice (Dotson) Toler of the home; daughters: Tara (Jonathan) Morgan of North Spring, WV, Jessica (Jarrod) Walls of Gilbert, WV; grandchildren: Ethan, Kalena, Jarrod, and Brett Walls, all of Gilbert, WV; sisters: Freda (Larry) Brown of Tamcliff, WV, Rita (Ken) Job of Alderson, WV; brothers: Terry (Stepahanie) Harrison of Gilbert, WV, Norwood (Crystal) Harrison, Jr., of Baisden, WV; special great nephew: Devan Hatfield.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, October 9, 2024, after 6:00 pm at the Justice Tabernacle Church, with special service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence there at the church on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Ravin Kenneda officiating.  Burial will follow at Justice Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Ricky will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Adam Hatfield, Marty Ray Hatfield, Charles Dotson, Rabon Dotson, John Viars, Terry Harrison.  Honorary pallbearers are: Mike Tolley, Norwood Harrison, Jr., Larry Brown, Ken Job.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
