Rita Faye (Keene) Rowe

Rita Faye (Keene) Rowe, 65 of Lorado, WV joined her loved ones in her Heavenly home on Thursday, August 4th, 2022. 

She was born on Friday, February 22, 1957 at Stevens Clinic in Welch, WV. She was the daughter of the late Sampy Davis and Pearl Elizabeth (Goodman) Keene. She was a Homemaker, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Mother but is most known for her role as "Nana". Our Nana was of the Pentecostal faith and a dedicated member of the Redemption Road Church. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband: Barry Alan Rowe, Sr; One Daughter: Tonya Lea Keene; her sisters: Sue, Irene, Carol, Georgia, Pauline, Jacqueline, and Jessica. Her brothers: Gary, Johnny, Gregory, and Ricky. 

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, "Facebook Live's", and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren whom she loved to have sleepovers with. 

Those left to love and cherish her memories are her daughter: Cary (Kevin) Allen of Christian. Six grandchildren, three that she raised as her own: Cody (Savannah) Allen of Beckley, Zachary May of Charleston, and Micah Denham of the home. Caleb, Bryce, and Jacob Allen of Christian. Four great-grandchildren: Brailynn, Kennedy, and Liam Allen of Beckley and Mason May of Charleston. Her sisters: Minnie Newcomb of Steels Hollow, Alma Patrick of Henlawson, and Cassie Copley of Elk Creek; her brothers: Sampy Keene, Jr of Buffalo Creek, Michael, Timothy, and Jeffrey Keene of Nc. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

Friends may gather with the family, Monday, August 8, 2022, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, WV, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Randy Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at the Coal Mountain Community Cemetery, Coal Mountain, WV. She will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
