Robert "Rube" Dewayne Cline

Robert “Rube” Dewayne Cline, 57 of Charleston, WV departed this life Wednesday, February 21, 2024.  Born July 16, 1966 at Welch, WV he was the son of the late Rex and Mary (Damron) Cline.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother: Terry Cline.

Robert loved fast cars, particularly Mustangs, he was also a fan of motorcycles.  He was a fan of all sports, especially Nascar.  Robert was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger, he was the kind of person who was always fun to be around and could get a laugh out of anyone he met.  He was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his sons: Jeremy (Kim) Cline and Josh (Kendra) Cline, all of Isaban, WV; daughter: Jennifer (Matthew) Ombler of Abbs Valley; grandchildren: Danielle, Parker, and Layla Cline of Isaban, WV and Mariah and Makenzie Ombler of Abbs Valley; siblings: Linda Robinette of Iaeger, WV, Bonnie Lester of Panther, WV, Stevie Ray (Shauna) Cline, and Connie (Ricky) Lester, all of Bullcreek, WV, Rodney (Krissy) Cline of Morrisville.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mt. Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Bull Creek, WV where funeral services will commence on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Elders David Lester, Danny Hurley, and Fred Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bob Cline Cemetery at Bull Creek, WV.

Robert will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
