Roger D. Blankenship

Roger D. Blankenship, 54 of Tamcliffe, departed this life on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from his residence.

Born on September 24, 1967 at Logan, WV he was the son of the late Virginia (Grimmett) Walls and Roger Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Alfred and Nina Grimmett; his paternal grandparents: Juanita and Ron Blankenship; special brother-in-law: Jeff Ogle.

Roger enjoyed digging ginseng, and he was known in the neighborhood as “Mr. Fix-It’ he was always giving a helping hand to others.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish his memories are his son: Justin Blankenship of Clay, WV; brother: James (Cheryl) May of NC; sisters: Angela (Robert) Thomas of Matewan, WV, Norma Ogle of Baisden, WV, Cindy (Andy) Lucas of Oakhill, WV, Cassie (Daniel) Blankenship of Gilbert, WV. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

To honor his request, he will be cremated.

Memorial service will be posted at a later date.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
