Rosie Ellen (Goodman) Gibson

Rosie Ellen Gibson, 75, of Mallory, gained her heavenly wings and went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 6, 2020 from her residence.

She was born June 29, 1945 at War Eagle, she was the daughter of the late Lilly (Smith) and Herbert R. Goodman.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Franklin Gibson; daughter: Linda Blankenship; grandson: Adam Gibson; sisters: Violet May, Ima Jean Musick and Dorothy Goodman; brothers: Donald and Edward Smith, Chester Coleman, Danny, and Ted Goodman; son-in-law: Junior Blankenship; daughter-in-law; Donna Gibson.

Rosie attended the House of Prayer at Omar and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughter: Patricia Belcher (Randy Mayfield) of Man; sons: Michael (Donna) Gibson of Man; Ricky (Brenda) Goodman of Gilbert; Brian (Christy) Gibson of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Brandon Gibson (Christina Rogers) of Gilbert, whom she raised as her own; Tiffany Belcher, Ashley Lester, Joey Goodman, Candy Lusk, James Blankenship, McKenna and Layla Gibson; great grandchildren: Aaliyah, Isaiah and Mackenzie Lester, Adam Gibson, Cory and Brooklyn Blankenship.  Rosie also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, with special service to begin at 7 pm.  Funeral services will be Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Denny May officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Hampden, WV.

Rosie will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
