Rowena (Cook) Browning

Rowena Browning, 56 of Gilbert, departed this life Wednesday, April 8, 2020 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born March 25, 1964 at Ieager, she was the daughter of the late Norris and Violet (Gravely) Cook.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters: Regina A. Davis and Marsha G. Sammons; brothers: Danny R. Lilly, Oley L. Cook, Bill Cook and Randy Cook.

Rowena loved being outdoors, fishing, digging ginseng, spending time and doing things with her family, she enjoyed listening to music.  She was of the Christian Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her husband: Boyd Vent Browning of Gilbert; daughter; Brandy (Randy) Toler of Justice; son: Chris (Kayla) Browning of Gilbert; grandsons: Tyler and Jaydon Browning, both of Gilbert, R.J. Toler of Justice; sisters: Bertha Christian, Eloise Cook, Donna Scarberry, all of Gilbert, Claudette Schoolcraft of Green Cove Springs, Fl; brother: Frank Cook of North Spring.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Per Rowena’s wishes, she will be cremated.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 6:00 pm.

She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
