Ruth Cline, 98, of Baisden, WV went home to her heavenly father on Sunday, June 29, 2025. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Born June 21, 1927, in Wharncliffe, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Martha (Hatfield) Patrick.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Hillard Cline; three children: Linda, Irvin, and Francine; sisters: Fannie, Maude, Julie, and Lena; brothers: Morion and Johnson.
Ruth was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended the Church of God at Baisden, WV. She enjoyed church until her health prevented her from attending, but she always kept her faith, and a loving heart. She enjoyed working in the garden and tending to her flowers. Her children and grandchildren always put a smile on her face.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her children: Rita (Layton) Cline, Hillard D. (Nancy) Cline, Dillard Cline, Willard Cline, Adam (Stephanie) Cline, Reace Cline and Zella (Ronald) Lester. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jonas “Joe Peck” Trent, Rev. Ralphy Manuel, and Rev. Learmon Mounts officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillard Cline Cemetery at Baisden, WV,
Ruth will be carried to her resting place by her close family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
