Preacher Scotty Trent, 54, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 25, 1971, to the late Hubert and Geneva Trent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Robin Trent, and one brother Harold Trent.
Scotty ran a store for 30 years in Greenville and gave his life to the Lord in August of 2002. He loved to hunt, fish and play softball.
Those left to cherish his memory are his seven sisters: Lynndora (Doug) Trent, Joan (Dickie) Trent, Sharon Bartram, Drema (Bill) Blankenship, Wanda (Chris) Meade, Shelia (Timmy) Eplin, and Trish (Tony) Colegrove; four brothers: Stanley Trent, Roger Trent, Wendell Trent, and Michael Trent; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV with Rev. Chris Meade officiating.
Scotty will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Joey Cline, Stevie Vance, Hunter Gerace, Dustin Eplin, Terry Browning, Tony Colegrove, Sean Story, and Don Powers.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
