Shannon Lynn Keneda

Shannon Lynn Keneda, 43, of Simon, departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from her residence.

Born January 25, 1976, at Mullens, WV, she was the daughter of Joe B. and Hazel (Freeman) Conn of Simon.

Preceding her in death are one brother, Brandon Conn; one aunt, Texanna Bailey; one uncle, Delno Conn; and her paternal grandparents: John and Elouise Conn, and her maternal grandparents: John and Cora Freeman.

Shannon enjoyed making her family and friends laugh and trips to the beach, but above all, she loved spending time with her son and daughter. Shannon was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband, Timothy Keneda; two children: Isaac Keneda and Isabella Keneda of the home; her parents: Joe B. and Hazel Conn of Simon; three sisters: Analeah (JT) Conn and Sabrina Conn of Salisbury, NC, and Valerie (Jim) Pennybaker of Newark, OH; her parents-in-law: Albert and Bernece Keneda of Simon; Paw Tommy and Maw Tessie Webb of Hanover; brothers-in-law: Allen, Todd, and Eddie Keneda all of Simon; sister-in-law, Pearl of Simon; special friends: Haley Kennedy and CHARMS. Shannon also leaves behind a host of special nieces and nephews along with a multitude of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, January 27, 2020, and Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Longbranch Freewill Baptist Church after 6 pm. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at the church with Rev. Todd Keneda and Rev. Landon Blankenship officiating.

Burial will follow in the Conn Family Cemetery at Simon. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
