Sharon Lynn (Short) Baisden, 66 of Gilman Bottom departed this life Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from her son’s residence. Born February 2, 1958, at Man, WV she was the daughter of the late Ruby (Nunley) and John B. Short.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only daughter: Crystal Lynn Baisden; one sister: Judy Whittaker; two brothers: Ronald Short and Don Short; one sister-in-law: Billie Short.
Sharon was a retired Postmaster, where she had spent several years working in the Gilbert, Man, and Mallory post offices. Sharon didn’t have many hobbies, but she loved playing cards and board games with her grandchildren.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 50 years: Larry E. Baisden; her son: Larry Dwayne (Amanda) Baisden; 5 grandchildren: Jake Adkins, Kearstin Adkins, Bret (Lexi) Baisden, Destinee Baisden, and Dusten Baisden; 3 brothers: Jerry Short, Larry Short, and Bradley Short; 4 sisters-in-law: Diane Short, Vicky Short, Debbie Rose, and Randa Baisden; 2 brothers-in-law: Eddie Rose and Vernon Baisden; 2 best friends: Brenda Issacs and Paula Green. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Honoring Sharon’s request there will be no services, and her remains have been cremated.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
