Sharon Brewer Obituary

Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything. -C.S Lewis

Sharon Dianna Brewer (Wolford), 57, of Wharncliffe, WV, received her eternal healing after a long, earthly battle to sickness on Saturday February 26th, 2022 in Lexington, KY at The University of Kentucky Hospital with her daughter steadfast by her side.

Born on June 5th, 1964 in Woodman, KY to the late Shirley Hopson & Henry Wolford. Sharon was welcomed into her heavenly home and into the arms of not only her Lord and Savior, but a multitude of angels awaiting her arrival. Including her son (Christopher Ray Wolford), grandson (Christopher Harrison Wolford), husband (Millard “Bubby” Brewer), sisters (Jenny Lynn Daniels and Nina Hatfield) niece (Kimberly Breeding) Stepfather (Jerry Ray May) and many others.

Those that knew Sharon, knew her love was unconditional. She was the familiar face behind the Bonnie’s Place counter. She made you feel like family, and never turned her back on you no matter the circumstance. She was a mother to two children by blood but she was a “mom/momma” to more people than she could count. Her generosity extended beyond comprehension. If you needed it, you know she was the person who would not stop until she found a way to help you.

She loved without conditions. No matter what walk of life you came from, she accepted you. Even when she was fighting her own battles, you’d never know it. She laughed and smiled through it all to keep those she loved from worrying. She took the weight of others pain while she pushed hers aside. She is and will forever be the definition of what a mother, sister, friend, and human being should be. She was the epitome of strength. She endured more heartache on this earth than most of us could fathom but she never let it harden her heart. She still loved without wavering. Sharon was a prominent staple not only to her family but to the entire Ben creek community. Those that knew her knew that the love she had for her children, grandchildren and sisters/brothers was undeniable. She prided herself in being the best mom, mamaw, and sister she could be, and she succeeded beyond expectation. She loved giving, and she loved her “pallets”. If you saw her comment “want” on something, it was already in her mind of who she could give it to. She worked every day even up to the days before she was called home. No matter how sick she was, she would make her way to the store. Bonnie’s Place was and always will be, Sharon. She left a mark on this world and on the heart of so many that can never be erased.

Those left to miss and honor her are her daughter and best friend, Kayla Dawn Ellis (Lee Ellis). Grandbabies, Payton & Laiken Wolford, Bryson & Kayson Ellis, and Kenlee Ball. Sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Gilkerson, Rita (Jonathon) Cline. Brothers, Carl Wolford, Theodore (Lori) Wolford. Nieces & nephews, Tianna (Hollie Ray) Ellis, Brittany (Andrew) Butcher, Justin (Bethany) Daniels, Vickie (Michael) Sammons. Audrey (Ed) Lawson. Nikita (Jr) Ferrell. Joey (Tasha) Wolford, Nicholas Hurley. Great nieces & nephews, Brandi & Tiarra Frazier, Kyle Breeding, Danny, Colton, & JennaLynn Butcher, Cory & Zach Sammons, Hunter Maynard, Brantley, Nakenna, & Kyle Wolford. Titus, Dalton & Skylar Wolford, Her special friend, Leala Adkins & Her cousin Jerry Hopson.
