Shawn Michael Chapman

Shawn Michael Chapman, 27 of Delbarton, departed this life Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV.

Born on March 4, 1994 at Logan, he was the son of Pamela Chapman and Densil Lester.

Shawn was a graduate of Mingo Central High School.  He enjoyed fishing and making sure his car was spotless clean, he loved taking his daughter and his mother out to lunch.  He was an employee at Walmart.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his daughter: Chloe Chapman; his mother: Pamela Chapman, both of Delbarton; his father: Densil Lester of Monroe County; brothers: Densel Chapman (Heidi Gum) of Morgantown, Chris Lester ( Christyn Barrett), Rudy Varney; grandmother: Katherine (Pansy) Chapman of Blackberry, KY; stepdad: Thirl Varney all of Delbarton; aunts: Dochie Chapman of Sarah Ann, Debbie Blair of Varney; uncles: Howard “Bud” Chapman of Blackberry, KY and Albert Chapman of Lake Ozark, MO; nephew: Ronin Chapman of Morgantown.  He also leaves behind a host of cousins, friends, and other dear relatives.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, November 8, 2021 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Bill Snodgrass officiating.  Burial will follow in the Chapman Family Cemetery at Ransom, KY.

Shawn will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
