Shirley May (Cline) Adkins

Shirley May Adkins, 75 of Hanover, WV. Went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her residence.

Born on April 14, 1946, at Spratsville, WV., She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Minnie (Mullins) Cline.                

Shirley is preceded in death by her Parents; Son: Jack Woodrow Adkins; Sisters: Corby and Margie Cline; and one step-grandson: Thomas Tramel

Shirley was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Her favorite pass time was playing” Farmtown’ on Facebook, and listening to Betty Jean Robinson singing.

Those left to mourn and cherish her memory are, her husband Autry (Jack) Adkins, of the home, one son, Golden (Sherry) Adkins of Sevierville, TN., two daughters, April (Chris) Jenkins, and Miranda Evans both of Sevierville, TN., eleven grandchildren; Patricia Brouhard, of Sevierville, TN, Shawn Tramel from Cosby, TN., Carrie Ward of Columbus OH., Shirley Byrd, Golden Adkins, Jr., Scott Evans, Jeffrey Stevens Jr., Gabrielle Adkins, Christopher Jenkins, Jack Jenkins and Jacob Jenkins, all of Sevierville, TN; great grandchildren: Logan Byrd, Jayden Byrd, Brystol Byrd, Justin Brouhard, and Breanna Brouhard, all of Sevierville, TN, Laura, Katie, and Adam Ward, all of Columbus, Ohio.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert, WV. where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Browning officiating.

To honor her wishes, she will be cremated.

Her Wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
