Steven Harvey Coleman

Steven Harvey Coleman, 50, of Mohawk, WV departed this life Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from Cabell Huntington Hospital following a long illness.

Born May 26, 1975, in Welch, WV he was the son of the Rev. Willie and Ruth (Mounts) Coleman.

Steven is preceded in death by his brother: Willie Dwayne Coleman; paternal grandparents: Elige and Stella Coleman; maternal grandfather: Luther Mounts.

Steven had worked with his brother on a sawmill, which he greatly enjoyed. He was of the Baptist Faith and well known for his beautiful smile.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving daughter: Makayla Grace Coleman of Panther, WV; loving son: Bradley Steven Coleman and companion Laken Rash; his loving fiancé: Oma Justice; sisters: Katrina (Frankie) Hunt, all of Mohawk, WV and Stella Dawn (Randy) Rowe of Panther, WV; brother: Bobby (Angela) Coleman; niece: Autumn Coleman and companion Casey Toler all of Mohawk; nephews: Frankie and Owen Hunt, Brandon Rowe and companion Kylie Bryant, all of Panther, WV; and maternal grandmother: Rosa (Glenn) Thompson of Abington, VA.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, September 21, 2025, after 6:00 pm at the Panther Missionary Baptist Church at Panther, WV, with special services to begin at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ervin Dotson, Rev. Ronnie Hurley, Rev. Ervin Hurley, and Rev. Hassell Riffe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Bullcreek.

Steven will be caried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.  To know Steven was to love him.
