Tammy Rae (Browning) Brinkley

Tammy Rae (Browning) Brinkley, 54 of Oceana, WV went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Born February 29, 1968 at Man, WV she was the daughter of Corless Browning and the late Delmas Browning.

In addition to her father, Tammy was also preceded in death by one sister: Vonda Ellen Browning; sisters-in-law: Pat Vance, Dana Mullins, Norma Jean Amburgy; brothers-in-law: Robert, Harold, and Beryl Brinkley.

Tammy was a Speech Pathologist for the Wyoming County Schools.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.  She loved the Lord with all her heart, and enjoyed working for him.  It brought her great joy to work with the children during Vacation Bible School and participating in street ministry with her church of Turkey Ridge. 

Tammy loved to share her faith with others on social media and witnessing to those she came across in her path.  She was a prayer warrior.  She loved her fur babies, especially her cat, Willow.  Tammy was a member of the Road Angels Car Club.  She enjoyed her Sunday dinners with her husband Danny, her mother, and her family.  Tammy attended the Peaceful Valley Community Church at Cub Creek, and the Turkey Ridge Baptist Church at Oceana, WV.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 24 years; Danny Brinkley of Oceana; her mother: Corless Browning of Gilbert; her sister: Joan (Steve) Gunnells of Steeles Hollow; brothers: Dana (Tammy) Browning of Nelson, and Erick (Karen Hatfield) Browning of Ikes Fork; sister-in-law: Kathleen Cooper of Oceana; brother and sister-in-law: Avon and Joyce Cawley of Vinton, VA.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, January 23, 2023 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Alvin Browning and Rev. Johnny Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Community Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Tammy will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.
