Teddy “Doggie” Toler, 76 of Hanover, WV departed this life Friday, March 8, 2024 from his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born July 30, 1947 at Hanover, WV he was the son of the late Wade and Hazel (Vanover) Toler.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife: Retha Toler; brothers: Bobby, Freddie, Steve, Tony, Jonny, and David Toler; his special Boston Terrier of 18 years: Dottie, which he loved dearly.
Teddy worked as a farmer throughout his life. He enjoyed picking up hay and spending time around the animals. He also liked fox hunting, riding horses, raising a garden, and attending the races. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He attended the Pads Fork Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Regina Toler of Hanover, WV, and son: Wade Toler of Hanover, WV. Teddy often referred to his grandchildren as the loves of his life: he will be missed by his grandchildren: Austin Cline, and Karisma and Zachery Toler. He is also survived by a special brother and sister-in-law: Daniel and Lisa Toler, who were always there to help as needed. He is also survived by brothers: Jeff (Macene) Toler, Roger (Darlene) Toler, Brian (Raina) Toler; sisters: Sherry Workman, Denise (Joe) Cameron, Sandra Cline, Maggie (Kenny) Stewart, Kathy (Paul) Hammond; special daughter-in-law: Ginger Toler, Justice, WV; special family in his life: French, Beth, and Eric Morgan. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Pads Fork Freewill Baptist Church, Steeles Hollow Road, Hanover, WV. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dennis Lester and Rev. Gary Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Toler Cemetery at Hanover, WV.
Teddy will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.
