Thelma Jane “Bug / Buggy Jane” (Workman) Trent, 78, of Point Pleasant, WV, went to the hands of a loving God on Friday, July 11th, 2025.
She was born on October 28th, 1946, at Man, WV, the daughter of the late Henry “Cum” Workman and the late Gladys (Bartram) Workman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Trina Lynn Trent; several brothers and sisters, Demma Rufus Workman, French Grimmett, William Grimmett, Walter Grimmett, Norman Workman, Henry “Oral” Workman, Diane (Workman) Kilgore, Betty (Workman) Wright, Loraine (Workman) Bartram, Roger Workman.
Thelma was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished aunt to many. She was known by many as having a loving spirit often concerned with the wellbeing of others. Thelma loved cooking, gardening, canning, and spending time with family. She was of the Free Will Baptist Faith and never shied away from a good Bible conversation. Sadly, she leaves behind a tremendous hole in her immediate and extended family.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 59 years, Walter Lee Trent. One daughter, Sandra “Sandy” (Grady) Grimmett of Leon, WV; two sons, Michael Trent (his life companion Kimberly Browning) of Point Pleasant, WV., Steven (Emma) Trent of Point Pleasant, WV. Eight brothers and sisters, Germae Justice, Cora Ballard, Kenny Workman, Harold Workman, Jerry Workman, John Workman, Melva Maynard, Robert Workman; four grandchildren, Steven Lee Trent, Caleb Hunter Trent, James Marshal Trent, Whitney (Victor) Arreola; six great grandchildren, Gracie Arreola, Maddie Arreola, Victoria Arreola, Mateo Arreola, Willow Anne Trent, Finley Levi Trent. And a host of nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 17th from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. for family, 6:00 - 9:00 for friends at the Greenville Free Will Baptist Church (Lower Church) in Greenville, Man, WV.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon Friday, July the 18th, at the Greenville Free Will Baptist Church (Lower Church) in Greenville, Man, WV, with the Reverend Chet Clay officiating. Burial and graveside service will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Thelma Will be taken to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
