Thomas Ray Trent

Thomas Ray Trent, 85 of Baisden, WV departed this life Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from Tug Valley ARH Medical Center, South Williamson, KY.  Born September 24, 1938, in Mingo County, he was the son of the late Pearl (Johnson) and Ance Trent.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife: Alma Sue (Lester) Trent; daughter: Lisa Trent; grandson: Bryan Robinette; several brothers and sisters.

Thomas was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden, where he enjoyed attending church, singing for the Lord, and worshipping with his church family.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, digging ginseng, and he especially loved reading his Bible.  He was a member of the UMWA.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his daughter: Rhonda Robinette (Danny Justice) of Baisden; grandchildren: Kayla (Greg) Hurley of Sprattsville, Kirsten (Shane) Christian of Hanover, Stevie Dawn (Trevor) Cline of Browning Fork; great grandchildren: Cash and Macy Hurley of Sprattsville, Easton and Lemi Cline of Browning Fork; niece and nephew that he thought of like his grandchildren: Chad Lester and Kimberly Lester Smith; special friend and caregiver: Danny Justice.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives, friends, and church family.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 1:00 till 3:00 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God, Baisden, where funeral services will commence at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jonas Trent, Rev. Marvin Joe Bradford, Rev. Ralphy Manuel, and Rev. Learmon Mounts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lester Family Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Thomas will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Greg Hurley, Shane Christian, Trevor Cline, Cash Hurley, Chad Lester, Marvin Joe Bradford, and James Lester.  Honorary pallbearers are: Dexter Lester, Danny Justice, and Larry Cline.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
