Tony Brian May, 53, of Lake, formerly of Gilbert, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 9th 2023 at CAMC HospiceCare, Charleston, WV.
He was born on February 13, 1969 in Welch, WV to Gail Marie (Grimmett) Cline and the late Andrew “Peanut” May.
In addition to his father, Tony is also preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents: Fred and Verlie May, and his maternal grandparents: Sanford Grimmett and Lilly Mae Wiley.
Tony was of the Church of God faith. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, was deeply loved by his family and friends, and will be remembered for his love and care for others. Tony had a heart of gold! He had many interests that he loved, but whether he was driving his coal truck, fishing, hunting, or camping, Tony loved and cared for those around him. His greatest love was being with his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by them.
Those left to love and cherish Tony are his Mother: Gail Marie Cline, and his special bonus Dad: Johnny Cline of Gilbert; his son: Leland James May of Gilbert; two daughters: Amanda (Derick) Lester and April Dawn (Justin) Collins both of Hanover; special companion: Mandy Morris of Lake; his two brothers: Steven (Sherry) May of Ikes Fork and Andrew May of Gilbert; sister: Tammy (George) Sparks of Coal Mountain; step daughter: Kara (Billy Harmon) Vannatter; step son: Justin Vannatter; nine grandchildren: Caden Lester, Kyra Lester, Brooklyn Collins, Waylon Collins, Raelyn Collins, Korbin Harmon, Tyler Tabor, Bryson Boring, and Liam Harmon; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Friends may gather with the Family for visitation on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV from 6 – 9 PM with a special service at 7PM. Funeral Services will commence Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 1PM with Pastor Bill Cresong officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Gilbert, WV with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
