Vanno Charles Christian

Vanno Charles Christian 56, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and entered the arms of a just God. 

He was born on October 13, 1969, in Welch, WV to the late Vanno Christian and Flossie (Ferguson) Ellis. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Michael Lee Christian and cousin: Kenneth Charlie Ferguson. 

Vanno enjoyed many outdoor activities, including camping, fishing, digging ginseng, deer hunting, raising roosters, and spending time with his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or take on odd jobs to help others. Known for his love of storytelling, tall tales, and good jokes, Vanno brought laughter wherever he went.  He was of the Pentecostal Faith and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Mycah Callaway; son: Kaiden Belcher; very special “Mom”: Dreama Lester; sister: Doni (Michael) Holcomb; special nephew: Joseph “Boo” Mounts; special niece: Mikayla (Isa) Scales; grandson: Asher Callaway; granddaughter: Brinley Callaway; uncle: Johnny Ferguson; and great niece: Eliyanah Scales. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends who he loved dearly. 

To honor Vanno’s wishes, he will be cremated.  A memorial will be planned for a later date.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
