Wanda Sue (Ellis) Hurley

Wanda Sue “Goldie” Hurley, 50 of Wharncliffe departed this life Thursday, October 8, 2020.

Born June 24, 1970 at Man, WV she was the daughter of Kathleen (Wolford) and Jerry “Red” Ellis.

Goldie is also preceded in death by her loving son: Carl Henry Wolford, Jr.; her niece: Robin Nicole Stanley; nephew: Chris Wolford.

Goldie enjoyed spending time with her son, Nicholas.  She also enjoyed being with her friends.  She was the one who always had a smile and a helping hand to anyone at any time.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her parents: Kathleen (Wolford) and Jerry “Red” Ellis; her long term companion: Carl Henry Wolford; her pride and joy, her son: Nicholas Hunter Hurley; brothers: Johnny Ellis, Kevin Ellis, Jerry (Carol) Ellis and Gregory Daniels; her sister: Carolyn Daniels; sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Bill) Gilkerson, Sharon Brewer and Rita (Jonathan) Cline; brother-in-law: Theodore (Lori) Wolford; nephew: Lee (Kayla) Ellis; great niece: Shayla Stanley; great nephews: Bryson and Kayson Ellis.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, October 12, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rick Endicott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Colangelo Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

Goldie will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Shag Roberts, Lee Ellis, Gregory Daniels, Brian Smith, and Lum Lester.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
