Wilma Blankenship

Wilma Blankenship, 65 of Baisden departed this life Thursday, December 12, 2013 from Pikeville Medical Center.

Born September 16, 1948 at Iaeger, WV she was the daughter of Royal and the late Verlie (Mounts) Blankenship.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by nieces: Angelique Theresa Patrick and Keisha Cline Hatfield.

Wilma loved going to yard sales, church, and spending time with her family and friends, so often she put her life on hold to help others.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Wilma are her husband of 48 years: Toney Blankenship; her sons: Toney (Michelle) Blankenship Jr. and Rocky (Dorothy) Blankenship; her 4 grandchildren: Joshua and Nakita Blankenship, Gregory Toler and Malaki Sheppard; her father: Royal Blankenship; 4 sisters: Sarah (John) Patrick, Ginger (Ken) Robinette, Pinky (Doyle) Cline and Crystal Jones; her 2 brothers: Alfred (Regina) Blankenship and Lucky (Anita) Blankenship; her 7 nieces: Valerie and Amanda Patrick, Ashley Dotson, Adranna Lester, Tianna Lester, Nicole and Vanna Jones; her 3 nephews: Scott and Dustin Blankenship and Chris Patrick. Also a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Full Gospel Church of God at Baisden after 6 pm.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Full Gospel Church of God with the Rev. Jonas Trent and Rev. Whimpy Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery at Mud Lick section of Baisden. Wilma will be carried to her final resting place by Chris Patrick and other family and friends.
