Bartley Hunt

Bartley Hunt, 78 of Gilbert, departed this life Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from his residence. Born October 5, 1937 in Mingo County, he was the son of the late Mont and Virgie Cline Hunt. Bartley was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Bartley and to mourn his passing are his loving wife: Hazel Surber Hunt of Gilbert; 2 sons: Chris (Helena) Hunt of Chesapeake, Va and Curtis Hunt of Gilbert; his grandson: Ty Hunt of Chesapeake, Va. He also leaves behind a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 12 to 1 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Andrew Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Horsepen, WV. Bartley will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends. His wonderful smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him. 6
