Dakota Landis Hatfield

Dakota Landis Hatfield, 13 of Man, WV departed this life on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born August 1, 2004 at Creston, Ohio, he was the son of Lisa and the late Danny K. Hatfield.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother: Leander and Janice Hatfield.

Dakota melted the hearts of everyone who he came in contact with.  He was such a special little red headed boy.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Dakota and to mourn his passing include a very special uncle and aunt: Benny and Vickie Grimmett, who loved, adored and devoted their lives to this precious baby boy with whom he made his home; two brothers: Danny K. Hatfield and Jeremy Hatfield of Man; three sisters: Alexis, Savannah and Gabrielle Hatfield all of Man; nephew: Jayden Hatfield of Man; special uncle and aunts:  Greg (Lorrie) Hatfield of North Carolina, Lisa (Timothy) Browning of Whitman; and Tonya Hatfield of Madison; very special caregivers: Teresa Harvey, Jessica Cline, Bretney Huff, Amy Mullins, Sabrina Matney, Haley Lester, Debra Evans and Judy Haddock.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Women and Children’s Hospital, doctors, nurses, and staff, ER at Logan General, Leasa Ambulance Service, Interim Health Care and Hospice Physical Therapy.

Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joaquine Ooten officiating.

Burial will follow in the Browning Dye Cemetery at Verner, WV.

Dakota will be carried to his final resting place by Joey Lester, Tyler Browning, Keith Hatfield, and Michael Belcher.

His gentle smile and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
