Mable Lester

Mable Lester, 75 of Baisden, departed this life on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at her residence.

Born on November 6, 1936, at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late Opal Collins and Mary Ellen Hatfield Collins Bledsoe.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee Lester, Jr.; two brothers: Kenneth and Melvin Bledsoe and one sister, Evelyn Lester.

Mable was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Mable and to mourn her passing include her two brothers: James Bledsoe of North Spring and Dudley (Andrea) Bledsoe of Hanover; her two sisters: Agnes Perry of Pearisburg VA and Barbara (Tony) Lowe of Mt.Airy NC; her sister-in-law, Edith Lester of Baisden; her loving friend and niece, Linnea Lester Chandler of Baisden; her nieces: Norma (David) Blankenship of Oceana, and Briawna and Brandi Adams of Oceana; her two very special dogs: Pierre and Sissy; and a host of other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Monday, May 7th from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery at Baisden.

Mable will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
