Shirley Harmon

Shirley Harmon, 71 of Wharncliffe, departed this life on Friday, August 29th, 2014 at Trinity Nursing Home at Williamson.

Born June 14, 1943 at Glen Alum, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Laura Belle Blankenship Miller.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her companion, Sam Carter; her sister, Nettie Pruitt; and her 5 brothers: Kenneth Miller, Willie Miller, Herbert Miller, Alford Miller and Ed Miller, Jr.

Those remaining to love and cherish the memory of Shirley include her brother, Denzil Miller of Columbus Ohio and her sister, Claudine Caldwell of Mineral Virginia and a host of family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Saturday, September 6th from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, September 7th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Ward officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Wharncliffe.

Shirley will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

She is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
