Tommy Lee

It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Lee, 82, of Gilbert, WV who passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at The Logan Center. Tommy was born to the late Tom and Hester (Estep) Lee on October 18, 1931. Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Lucille (Matney) Lee. 3 infant children, Gloria Jean, Stephen Paul and Tommy Duane Lee and more recently his daughter Pamela Lee. He was preceded in death by the following brothers: Larry Lee, Jackie Lee and Donald Lee; sisters: Helen Lee, Carol Newell and Nellie Jo Greenwood. Tommy spent the majority of his free time with church activities as a pastor and teacher. He was a member of the Valley View Church of God in LaFollette, Tenn. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family. Tommy had retired to Norris Lake in LaFollette, TN and resided there for 25 years. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Those left to love and cherish the memory of Tommy include his daughters: Deanna New of Gilbert and Belinda Lee Baldwin of Harriman, TN; son: Tommy Duane Lee of Coal Mountain. His Grandchildren: Stephen Paul New of Beckley, Jamey New of Chapmanville, Thomas Lee Baldwin of Harriman, TN, Joseph Whittaker of SC, Eric Whittaker and Melvin Caldwell of St. Petersburg FL. His brothers and sisters: Leo D. Lee, Thelma Warren and Mary Lou Warf all of Columbus OH and Clinton Lee of Paoli, IN and a host of other dear family and friends. Friends may gather with the family on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6-9pm with a special service at 7:00pm. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Hollywood Cemetery, Gilbert, WV with the Rev. Jonas Trent officiating. Tommy will be carried to his final resting place by family and friends. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
