Unis Stacy

Unis Stacy, 79 of Mohawk, departed this life Monday, September 26, 2016 from his daughter's residence. Born on June 7, 1937 at Jolo, he was the son of the late Miles and Katherine (Mullins) Stacy. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years: Molly Stacy; his daughter's: Deborah and Dakert Stacy; his sons: Delbert and Delmer Stacy; his brothers: Ruffus, Ulis and Okie Stacy. Unis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed helping everyone. He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church at Paynesville, WV. Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Della (Scollop) Coleman of Mohawk; his son: Randal (Delorse) Stacy of Stanleytown, VA; his grandsons: Jacob Coleman of Mohawk, Randal Stacy, Jr., and Darrel (Briana) Stacy, all of Stanleytown, VA; sisters: Beulah and Julie Stacy, both of Paynesville, WV; his brother: Buford Stacy, also of Paynesville, WV; his sisters-in-law: Florence and Polly Stacy of Paynesville, WV, and Ollie Morgan of Hanover, WV; Kaitlyn McClanahan, who was like a granddaughter; special friends: Harvey and Juanita Coleman of Mohawk, WV. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, September 28, 2016 after 6 pm at the Followers of Christ Church at Paynesville, WV. Funeral services will commence there at the church Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm with the Elder Jerry Stacy and Elder Freddy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Dan Stacy Cemetery at Paynesville, WV. Unis will be carried to his final resting place by his family and friends. He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
